Paint Dance

Paint Dance. What? Paint Dance. Dance and Paint at the same time! It's what Lisa and I did last night, at a great little art studio in Berkeley, right by the RR tracks near Gilman.

Great music, great art studio, we jammed to some very danceable numbers while we let our brushes roam across the paper tacked to the walls. Individual and group paintings went up and it was truly a lot of fun, very inspiring, very soulful.

I never paint or sculpt, so when I found myself really enjoying the whole process, and getting that little rush of joy that artists get when in the middle of a creation, I really just drank it in. Dancing and Painting. What a great combination!

A couple of us were joking about doing a raw food paint dance. Maybe we'll have a day where we'll paint with raw food on a big canvas made out of a giant flax seed cracker. Then when the dance is over, we'll all eat the painting! It sounds like a blast. Learn more at the site:
